Explanation and forms necessary to be registered under the Veterinarians Act and thereby entitled to practice veterinary medicine in B.C. The active private practice categories are General Private Practice and Specialty Private Practice.

Concerning registration as a veterinarian in BC
ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2010, the BCVMA becomes the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC) and the registration process will change
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION REMAIN UNCHANGED
HOWEVER, THE COUNCIL WILL NO LONGER GRANT REGISTRATION
THE REGISTRAR WILL EITHER GRANT REGISTRATION OR FORWARD THE APPLICATION TO THE REGISTRATION COMMITTEE
BYLAW EXAMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE A REQUIREMENT; THEY ARE HELD 4 TIMES YEARLY IN NORTH VANCOUVER, AND AT THE WCVM IN APRIL
