Important news for the public and the veterinary profession in BC
Bill 10, the revised Veterinarians Act 2010, was proclaimed on June 3, 2010 and will be brought into force on September 15, 2010. From that date the BCVMA will become the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia.
This is important law reform and a milestone for the public and the profession of veterinary medicine in BC. When in force, the new Act will strengthen our ability to serve the public interest in a safe, competent and ethical standard of care and conduct by veterinarians. The College of Veterinarians of BC is focused entirely on the public interest.
